Example Ideas Include:

  • Create a D&D game that encourages people to talk about their experiences through a character in the game. If you have questions about this idea, you can contact Dr. Chris Chapman: chris.chapman@usu.edu
  • Create an app that people can use to regularly check in regularly and log how they are feeling as well as track the progress of their medications for treating depression, bipolarity, etc. If you have questions about this idea, you can contact Dr. Chris Chapman: chris.chapman@usu.edu
  • Create an app or website that includes detailed information about different mental health services in one’s area, especially for more rural areas like Cache Valley. While there are some existing websites that work towards this, many lack the information for more rural areas. If you choose to do this, be sure to include detailed information that your solution provides, like how much services cost and what types of insurance are accepted. An example of Cache Valley information can be found here. If you have questions about this idea, you can contact Dr. Jess Lucero: jessica.lucero@usu.edu

Absolutely! Many times, coming up with an idea for a project is the hardest part, and that doesn't require any technical knowledge. Also, we need designers to help us make our apps look good!
You can't use any code that was written before the start of the hackathon. However, we encourage you to begin thinking of ideas now!
